The YOUNG AMERICANS are coming back to Wray schools this month - February 23-25! It's time to get your students grades 3-12 registered if they would like to participate. Second grade students celebrated their math knowledge with a Super Bowl themed activity complete with concessions! Los alumnos de segundo grado celebraron sus conocimientos de matemáticas con una actividad temática sobre el Super Bowl, ¡completada con concesiones!

This first grade flooding enjoyed acting out a “Readers’ Theatre” for their classmates. Este grupo de primer curso disfrutó representando un "Teatro de lectores" para sus compañeros.

5th/6th grade Brain Bowl teams competed in Ft. Morgan on Saturday. The Wray A team took 3rd place and the Wray B team was solidly in the middle. Great showings by both teams! The Young Americans Performing Arts Camp is coming to Wray February 23-25, 2024! Up With Music and Wray School District are hosting the Young Americans; students in grades 3rd-12th are invited to participate. Registration fee is $100 (scholarships are available). Participants will attend three days of workshops and perform for the community on Sunday February 25th. Our 3rd/4th grade Wray A team received 2nd place while our Wray B team received 8th place out of 16 teams participating! Their hard work paid off! Wray Elementary hosted our second annual spelling bee last week! The participants were the winners from each classroom in third through sixth grades written spelling bee competition. The winner of the school bee will go on to take a test to attempt to qualify for the state bee. Congratulations to our new WES spelling bee champion! ¡Wray Elementary organizó nuestro segundo concurso anual de ortografía la semana pasada! Los participantes fueron los ganadores de cada clase de tercero a sexto grado de la competencia de deletreo escrito. Please help us locate some missing equipment. The bag was accidentally left at the self service car wash next to Riverside. The bag was on the ledge between the vacuum and trash can around 1PM Saturday. Below is what the bag looks like, with the CHSAA pass, Wray FBLA lanyard, and contents in the bag. If you have any information, please contact the district office at 970-332-5764. We are also hoping the items are returned to the school.

The third grade finished their economics unit with Market Day. They created and sold items to their classmates to learn more about the roles of producers and consumers in a community. Los alumnos de tercer grado terminaron su unidad de economía con el Día del Mercado. Crearon y vendieron artículos a sus compañeros para aprender más sobre las funciones de los productores y los consumidores en una comunidad.

The Recycle Club has been busy sorting and recycling bottles, cans, cardboard and paper this year. They were able to take a break and show their creative side by turning some trash into treasures! Este año, el Club de Reciclaje ha estado muy ocupado clasificando y reciclando botellas, latas, cartón y papel. Han podido tomarse un descanso y mostrar su lado creativo convirtiendo algunos desechos en tesoros.
