Sports Physical Nights for 25-26 School Year

Today, our third grade students had a special visit from Mrs. Hendrix of the Wray Museum! She gave an engaging presentation on Colorado history, focusing on mapping skills and how our state has developed over time. Students then dove into an interactive lesson on natural, human, and capital resources. Working in groups, they had the opportunity to examine real artifacts from various Colorado industries—including ice harvesting, mining, flour milling, saddle and spur making, and sugar beet farming. It was an exciting and educational way to connect classroom learning with Colorado’s rich history! --- Hoy, nuestros alumnos de tercer grado han recibido una visita especial de la Sra. Hendrix del Museo Wray. Ha hecho una interesante presentación sobre la historia de Colorado, centrándose en las habilidades cartográficas y en cómo se ha desarrollado nuestro estado a lo largo del tiempo. A continuación, los alumnos se sumergieron en una lección interactiva sobre los recursos naturales, humanos y de capital. Trabajando en grupos, tuvieron la oportunidad de examinar artefactos reales de varias industrias de Colorado, incluyendo la recolección de hielo, la minería, la molinería de harina, la fabricación de sillas de montar y espuelas, y el cultivo de remolacha azucarera. The third graders earned ice cream sundae ingredients each time they passed multiplication facts. Today they got to celebrate their earnings with an ice cream party! --- Los alumnos de tercer grado ganaban ingredientes para helados cada vez que aprobaban las operaciones de multiplicación. Hoy han podido celebrarlo con una fiesta de helados.

Attention 9-11 Parents: College Board Telemarketing Fraud Alert CDE is advising districts and schools to alert families of 9th-11th grade PSAT/SAT students about recent cases of telemarketing fraud, where scammers impersonate College Board representatives and ask for payment for student tests. The College Board does not make unsolicited phone calls to students or families requesting this type of information. Districts are strongly encouraged to send a message to families as soon as possible to alert them of this issue, as this has taken place in the state of Colorado this year. The College Board has provided a helpful communication resource through the Colorado Resource Repository under Flyers for Students and Families.
